Born to immigrant parents who met as penpals back in the 80’s, I’m a BIPOC female director/creative working with brands, not-for-profits and artists across Australia. My work prioritises inclusive practices, diverse talent and collaborative processes — or — fighting the patriarchy.

As someone who has aphantasia [look it up - you might have it too], creating a strong vision has always been about living in the moment and opening up to the sheer terror of ‘now’. And that’s why I love filmmaking - because it’s all about problem solving and knowing everything can go wrong at anytime, but working with likeminded creatives towards a to make sure it doesn’t.

After 12 years of working in commercial film and television, I started my own independent film and content company based on ‘creating content that cares’. I work closely with not-for-profits on collaborative filmmaking with legends like L2R Dance (community dance), YSAS (youth services), Miromaa (Indigenous language), Wire (womens network).

I also work with brands and companies like Virgin Fashion Festival, Melbourne Fashion Week, ABC, Seven Network and Fremantlemedia and Champion to help bring their product and services to life on the screen. I’m also part of an amazing roster of directors represented by the mighty agency Monster & Bear whom I’ve directed content and TVCs for AFL and Sexyland.

When I’m not collaborating with awesome brands and people, I’m working on my own work - from feature documentaries, shorts and dance films. My collaborative dance films have been selected for film festivals across the globe, from Spain, Canada, France and here in Australia. You can also check out my current project in collaboration with Jungle City Projects ‘ReConnect’ in which we explore culture and dance through history.
